Short description: During the course, the morphological features, habitat requirements, decorative qualities and the possibilities of use of gymnosperm trees and shrubs are presented.
Full description: During the lectures, students receive theoretical knowledge about the systematics of gymnosperm dendroflora, as well as information about the habitat and position requirements of individual plants. During the course, students recognize plants on the basis of shoot fragments, using the key to identify plants (special book). Students learn the shapes of plants during an autumn visit to the Botanical Garden or the Forest Park

Learning outcomes: Student: knows the systematics and nomenclature of plants; is able to recognize plants on the basis of their morphological features; knows their habitat requirements and possible applications in the design process. Assessment methods and assessment criteria: evaluation of work in the classroom 60%, the result of the theoretical knowledge test 40%
